Kirk & Clem’s wedding day in the Marlborough Sounds was a memorable day for all the right reasons. Clem had thoughtfully incorporated her family bach in the Marlborough Sounds as the perfect destination for her wedding morning preparations; and when Kirk arrived by boat with Wolfe & Raphe for their first look, it felt like we were encountering the most amazing family in a perfect setting. In the lead up, the rain was unrelenting, but moments before the ceremony it finally took a break so that Clem & Kirk could tie the knot in front of a beautiful lake at Timara Lodge with Clem’s Godmother as the celebrant and her Grandmother doing a reading. The perfect day didn’t stop there as guests were treated to lounging tents, wine tasting, and partied into the evening to the sounds of the Sweet Mix Kids

When we met with Dan & Paula, they told us about the Lake Tekapo wedding they were planning and we immediately began looking forward to their special day. They talked of Lake Tekapo, Mt John Homestead, how their guests would be loaded onto trailers and taken to the picturesque ceremony spot on top of the hill and a caravan renovation project they’d been working on which would be serving drinks to their guests on their special day. When the wedding day came, everything they had talked about happened, and it happened exactly as they had dreamed.

We started Sam & Anna’s wedding day out with a first look up on the Port Hills. This land is farmed by Sam’s Dad and overlooks Sumner. The cloud rolled in and created a moody but stunning setting to film and photograph Sam & Anna. The cloud cleared and the sun came out just in time for their outdoor ceremony at Omarino Wine Park where they were surrounded by friends and family.
