When we first met with James & Melanie, to find out more of their story, we knew we had met a couple who aren’t going to do things by halves. When James proposed to Melanie, they were drifting above the valley of Kings, Egypt in a hot air balloon.

Their wedding day was no exception.

James & Melanie travelled all the way from Australia to say “I do” at Rossburn receptions & Northbrook Museum. In a beautiful ceremony under paper lanterns, Rangiora turned on a wonderful day to celebrate this love story. From a box of postcards to send as well-wishes, to epic pink smoke to fill the dance floor (thanks to Brendan from Boogie Beats), here is the story of James & Melanie’s wedding day.

My daughter Juliet turns one today and I really can’t get my head around how fast the year has gone, and how much she has grown.

A year ago I held a little baby girl in my arms and was overwhelmed by the miracle of life and amazing love and respect for my wife…

Today that baby is gone and Juliet really is a cute little girl.

She loves dogs, ducks and planes in the sky. Bananas, grapes and mandarins are her favourite food, but she doesn’t want help eating them as she wants to do it all herself.

She likes making sounds, crawling and climbing.

She loves her teddy, her ‘sheepie’ and her bedtime snugly blanket.

She loves her “Mumma” very much and melts my heart when she smiles and says “Dada”.

She is healthy and has so many people that love her very much and for that Anna and I am so thankful.

She’s taught me to slow down and enjoy every moment. I’m not there yet but working on it.

She’s taught me to make sure that I am in some of these photos as well, and when she looks back on them she won’t care if the lighting isn’t perfect… she’ll want to see her daddy.

She’s taught me a new love for Anna as I’ve seen her step into the role of being such an incredible mother while still being an amazing wife.

She’s taught me that I can handle a smelly nappy, although possibly with some nasal blocking assistance.

She’s taught me things don’t need to be complicated.

She’s taught me a deeper love than I knew before.

She is my Juliet Fiona Lloyd and I love her completely.

I am a very proud Dad.

This wedding takes place at St James B&B in Christchurch… which is perfect. Because that’s where Nik & Cassandra met for the very first time.

And when you are marrying your true love, surrounded by your family & friends at the place you first met, then you have already started the journey of living happily ever after.

Here’s what Nik & Cassandra had to say about their wedding video:
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We sat down last night and watched everything and I couldn’t stop the happy tears!
Everything on the video that was captured is perfect, I can not rave about it enough!!

We are over the moon, can’t believe we have this amazing video to show everyone and one day our children can see it hehehee
I’m spreading the word, everyone getting married MUST have you video 🙂

Thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!”

Alice & Brad chose to use their wedding day to express their love and devotion for each other, for their friends, their parents, and for their grandparents…. and when Alice said she had found a DVD of her Grandparents getting married in Morrinsville in 1952, we knew we wanted somehow to incorporate it in our same day edit.

From an early morning moment in Akaroa where Brad sees his bride for the first time, to a beautifully themed Ice cream parlour at their wedding reception, here is Alice & Brad’s wedding day. This same day edit wedding film played at Alice and Brad’s wedding reception.

Here is what Alice & Brad had to say about their film :
“Again, Craig we just want to say thank you for such a special video. Although we were deeply involved in our day, we didn’t miss noticing how hard you and the guys were working to get that together for us. My Grandparents were nervous about coming down for the Wedding as they hadn’t travelled in about 10 years, but you made them feel so special and involved with using their video. It will always mean so much to us.

I showed the camera guys at TV3 the video this morning too and they were so impressed with it. So technical and well shot. You guys rule! We will love you forever for such an awesome reminder of our day and for going above and beyond! Thank you a million times over xxx”
